Then, he opened his own studio in 1991 and enjoyed working with people from many different walks of life and especially working on so many diverse projects. To Gordon, cultural diversity is like a breath of fresh air and he has actively pursued projects which specifically have an ethnic aspect to them. Projects with Dallas International had him shooting and producing groups from Africa, Lebanon, Thailand, Mexico, India, Scotland, Cambodia, Vietnam, Russia, Holland, Philippine, Ireland, China and more.

March 1996  Gordon saw the Children of Uganda perform at Borders Books in Dallas. Instead of the raggedy, forlorn group of orphans he expected, they shone with joy like beacons of light and proceeded to dance right into his heart. He offered to make a recording of their incredible songs to be used in helping fund this amazing group of children.

At the very end of 1999, Gordon went on the most profound trip of his life to Uganda to record the Children of Uganda and had the most amazing time. Although it seemed quite reckless at the time due to his financial situation, Gordon paid over $1000 for a digital video camera as something inside told him that he must also videotape this African odyssey to share with the rest of the world. So, this was really the beginning of the video career that had been predicted almost 20 years previously. A month after his son was born in 1985, he was told that he would: "bless many with the sound and the colour."   Since he was already fully involved in audio (the sound) he knew that "the colour" had to be video !

After 17 years in business in Dallas, Gordon moved to Santa Barbara, realizing that he had to live in Dallas first to truly appreciate how beautiful Santa Barbara is. Actually, it reminds him a lot of Edinburgh.
