End our dependence on OIL !
America's independence is in
jeopardy due to narrow mindedness and the status quo. If so
many people weren't getting so rich on the spOILs, common
sense and leadership might prevail.
Billionaire T. Boone Pickens wants to make more billions,
but he also wants to remove our slippery oily handcuffs with
the sheiks and crown prince Arabs who control most of the
oil. His
Pickens Plan is advocating the use of windmills for
electricity and CNG (Compressed natural gas) to fuel cars.
Argentina has 1,690,000 CNG vehicles .
Pakistan -
a 3rd world country - has 1,650,000
Brazil has 1,541,000 expected to grow 10% this year.
Germany already has
800
natural gas stations and they plan on having 2 million
(yes 2 mill) CNG vehicles by 2020. Italy already has
400,000 CNG vehicles. So, come on America, what are we
waiting for?
America, which has 10 times more drivers than
Argentina, has a pitiful 150,000 CNG vehicles. That's the
same amount as Bangladesh !
I wonder if Mr. Bush knows
that in Iran,
by law, 60 percent
of new passenger cars and 80 percent of public transport
vehicles must use natural gas. Goodness! What's becoming of
these terrorists? Pretty soon there might not be a war to
fight !

you can see, with over 8 million CNG vehicles
worldwide, the US has the distinction of
being neck and neck with Bangladesh. If

U. K. 80% Reduction
And how about this, the UK has committed to
reduce emissions by a
whopping 80% by the middle of
this century. This is a serious effort and one every single
nation needs to aspire to. It's pointless saying, like His
Bushiness, that our economy will suffer if we take extreme
measures to control the serious damage we're inflicting on
our one and only planet, if the quality of life on the
planet is such that it's almost not worth living. We simply
must all make every effort we can to reduce the destruction
we have done and continue to do to our dear Mother.
