Originally shot in 16mm
without any sound.
The voice of dj, record scratch and all the music was added 35 years after the film was shot. All of the sound was recreated. None of it is anything close to what the band was playing. The cowbell was added, one hit at a time and maracas were shaken to a piece of "stock" music so that it looks almost like the band were playing this music.
